On Feb. 14, 2024, a private company called Intuitive Machines will launch a lander to the Moon, carrying six NASA payloads that will perform various scientific and technological experiments on the lunar surface. This is the first private lunar landing, and it is part of NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative, which allows NASA to partner with private companies to deliver payloads to the Moon at a lower cost and faster pace.
